Raku is a form of Japanese pottery characterized by low firing temperatures, heavy metal glazes, and the removal of pieces from the kiln while still glowing hot. Raku is considered the traditional method for creating bowls for the Japanese tea ceremony.  This workshop uses basic techniques -- no prior experience necessary.  Please feel free to bring a snack and drink (both days) and lawn chair to this class.
