This is an intense course in learning how to paint portraits in acrylic paint, beginning with an understanding of the proportions of the human face and ending with a completed self-portrait. Individual instruction and an encouraging approach makes this class appropriate for beginners as well as for advanced painters. Four day class, one hour a day.

Perspective Drawing is the technique used to represent three-dimensional images on a two-dimensional surface. This class will give you significant horizons as it introduces you to the mysteries of eye levels, one and two point perspectives, vanishing points and linear and aerial perspective.  Four one hour sessions.

Practical Photography

We'll work together on some basic home studio work, play with lighting and reflections, and with materials from around the home office. This will be a practical class rather than a theoretical one, we'll work hard not to get too complicated and stay away from all the math. If you ever asked "how'd you take that picture" this is the class for answers. Bring your camera capable of manual mode and an extra lens or two! A tripod and flash are handy, but not necessary.

Pigs & Pugs Meet the Wild Things: Modern Art for Children

The Most Awesome Tie Dye in the World

We'll take on the always fun art of tie-dying and add some dye-subtraction to the mix!  We'll make several garments (including a tie-dyed necktie for dad!) and end the week with a tie-dye fashion party. A great class to take with Mom & Dad or a good friend!
