This course is structured to help participants learn how to grow their drawing abilities through the use of charcoal, pencil and pen & ink. It will focus on the development of perception, observation, skill and application.
Jeannie Davis has over thirty years teaching experience in the public schools and has taught private lessons in her home and at Longview Museum of Fine Arts. She works primarily in soft pastels and has had work accepted in National and International shows from Cape Cod to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Most recently she has a piece that will be showing at the Salmagundi Club in the American Impressionist Society International show in New York City during the month of September.
She believes every person has the potential to discover their artistic voice in a variety of methods. However, just like most athletes, musicians, dancers or performers, the potential has to be developed. Drawing can be a step to create the insight necessary to express or simply to document the world around us.
Supply list will be sent by email attached to reservation confirmation.
