Renowned photographer Laura Wilson has captured the majesty, as well as the tragedy, of her home region of Texas and the wider West for more than three decades. This extraordinary exhibition shows Wilson’s subjects range from legendary West Texas cattle ranches to impoverished Plains Indian reservations to lavish border town cotillions.
“That Day is an arresting series of visual narratives about the late twentieth and early twenty-first-century West, capturing the region’s sharp incongruities, conditions that make the region fascinating but also deeply confounding.” Andrew R. Graybill, Director William P. Clements Center for Southwest Studies at Southern Methodist University.
