Longview Museum of Fine Arts is home to nearly 1,200 works of art including paintings, woodcuts, photographs, sculpture, lithographs, serigraphs, collages, and works on paper. The collection is centered around early Texas regional art from the 1930s and 1970s.
Each year, the museum brings in culturally and historically significant works from the 19th century to the present and curates exhibitions featuring Texas-based artists, emerging contemporary artists from across the United States, internationally established artists, and students from the East Texas region.
Tickets for events such as concerts, classes, galas, tours, etc are required. Please refer to the Events page for information on purchasing tickets for special events.
LMFA offers both guided and self-guided exhibition tours. Reservations are requested to ensure the best experience.
Student Tours are designed to expand critical and creative thinking and encourage the next generation’s appreciation for the visual arts. Using a variety of evidence-based strategies, students explore works of art, make connections with their personal experiences, and apply their visual literacy skills in accordance with TEKS curricular standards.
School Tour Pricing: $1 Per Student | $3 Per Adult | $35 Minimum
*To add a hands-on art project to the guided tour, the fee is $10 -$12 per student.
Adult Tours can be customized by offering 30 to 90-minute docent-led tour experiences highlighting LMFA’s permanent art collection and the temporary exhibitions on display.
