LMFA hosts nearly a dozen curated exhibitions per year featuring Texas artists and works from across the United States. In addition, LMFA has hosted an annual student invitational since 1960 which spotlights hundreds of young adult artists enrolled in high schools across the East Texas region.
Longview Museum of Fine Arts is home to nearly 1,200 works of art including paintings, woodcuts, photographs, sculpture, lithographs, serigraphs, collages, and works on paper. The collection has a core collection of early Texas Regionalist art from the 1940s – 1970s, but has grown to include postmodern and contemporary works established by Texas artists and American masters.
