Bobby C. Martin is a full-time artist, curator, and
consultant based at Martin Mountain Studio near
West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma. An enrolled
citizen of the Muscogee Nation, his work explores
memory, history, and identity through historic family
photographs, maps, tribal language passages,
hymns, scripture, and documents connected to his
Mvskoke ancestry.
Martin’s artwork has been exhibited internationally
and is held in numerous museum and private
collections, including the Philbrook Museum of Art,
Gilcrease Museum, Crystal Bridges Museum of
American Art, and the British Library. He has also
curated national touring exhibitions highlighting
contemporary Southeastern Native art.
