Daniel Traverso III is from Galveston, Texas. He received his BFA in Studio Arts from the University of Texas, Austin and his MFA in Painting from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He lives in Austin, where he formerly taught at Austin Community College.
Longview Museum of Fine Arts is home to nearly 1,000 works of art including paintings, woodcuts, photographs, sculpture, lithographs, serigraphs, collages, and works on paper. The collection is centered around early Texas regional art from the 1930s and 1970s.
