A collaborative effort between acclaimed photographer O. Rufus Lovett and longtime East Texas writer Gary B. Borders, this 136-page coffee-table style book consists of profiles and portraits of 150 people from all walks of life in Longview. The project was intended to celebrate Longview’s 150th birthday in 2020 but was delayed due to the pandemic until 2021.

Longview Museum of Fine Arts is home to nearly 1,200 works of art including paintings, woodcuts, photographs, sculpture, lithographs, serigraphs, collages, and works on paper. The collection has a core collection of early Texas Regionalist art from the 1940s – 1970s, but has grown to include postmodern and contemporary works established by Texas artists and American masters.
