Katie Smith is a native of Longview and lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church. She obtained her degree in Counseling at Mississippi State University. Katie is the School Counselor at Weldon Elementary School in Gladewater. In 2017, Katie married her high school sweetheart Jordan Smith. She loves
volunteering for her church and the Longview Museum of Fine Arts.

Longview Museum of Fine Arts is home to nearly 1,000 works of art including paintings, woodcuts, photographs, sculpture, lithographs, serigraphs, collages, and works on paper. The collection is centered around early Texas regional art from the 1930s and 1970s.
